About our school
Vocational school in Kravany nad Dunajom opened its doors on 1 September 1953. The school received its building from the government. It was previously a castle owned by Gustáv Láng. At the same time it recieved lands too. Teaching has begun in four areas: plant cultivation, farmer, smith and wheeler. In 1980/81secondary school for workers was set up.
The first class graduated in 1982. In the academic year 1991/92 we started teaching gardening in outplaced classes at the Agricultural secondary school in Komárno. In 1992/93 with the verification of full-time, post-secondary study the part-time courses for workers were replaced. This form of study lasts two years and ends up with graduation.
From the year 1982 the school was expanded with 8 additional classrooms, a large multi-purpose sports hall and a various sports grounds. In the large newly built greenhouses thermophilic plants were successfully grown.
To meet the requirements of our age and to create the conditions necessary to adult education and applied informatics our school has established new computer classrooms.Here the acquirement of the design area supporting softwares of existing courses take place together with the IT vocational education that meets the requirements of ECDL exams.
